St Dominic’S Centre is a catholic school that caters for students from kindergarten to year 10. Their enrollment criteria is moderate cognitive delay and deaf or hard of hearing. In 2018 St Dominic’s will accept the first cohort of kindergarten students with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
The out(fit) Outreach Truck involves the fit out of a mobile trailer that can be converted into several configurations and spaces. The Outreach Truck will provide opportunities to interact and learn about the built environment.
The design for the sensory playground at St Kevin’s is Underway.
We are lucky enough to be collaborating with DSI Underground on this project. Our contact Stephanie was kind enough to show us around the manufacturing facility and is assisting us with the design and construction of the screens.

Jenny’s Place provides crisis accommodation and support through information, referral and advocacy for women and children escaping domestic violence and/or who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
Out(fit)’s first initiative was the re-activation of an abandoned corner of a prominent site in the CBD. Throughout 2016, two windows on Newcastle’s Wolfe Street were transformed into the Looking Glass Project.
