Out(fit) undertakes mini bees to complete elements to be installed on site for our projects.
These mini bees often take place at the University of Newcastle around the school or in the workshop with the help of architecture students.
Planter Box Seats
The planter box seats are to be completed at the university to be installed at St Dominic’s. They will comprise of pre-cut plywood panels.
The drawing windows will router cut from polycarbonite in the University’s workshop. The contrasting orange and leaf detailing will also be cut in the workshop to all be assembled on site at St Dominic’s.
Tyre planters will be assembled at the university by covering over one of the openings with rubber sheeting and attaching casters to the base for mobility.
We created our own pavers from concrete for St Dominic’s playground. The pavers were made outside the workshop with the help of a handful of students. Plastic sheeting was used to create the circles form with decorative stones added to embellish the top surface.
Storage benches were completed in the University workshop for the Jenny’s Place project.
